  • The teacher should hand homework tasks to child. Copying from the blackboard should be minimized.
  • Find a homework buddy who can help make sure that homework and books go home. Find someone who can be called when they do not.
  • Parents can copy math problems onto work sheet, but the child does the problems.
  • Use peer's notes for studying.
  • Let your child dictate reports and essays to you or into a dictaphone. Provide a dictaphone for the teacher to listen to the tapes.
  • The school can change testing procedures to oral exams or extra time.
  • Teach typing/word processing.
