Search Tips

Basic Searching

To perform a basic search for resources, simply enter some search terms into the search bar and press the enter key or click the Search button. Those resources which contain any of the search terms will be returned as matches, and will be ordered by relevance.

If you have too many results, consider reducing the number of terms. If you end up with too few results, try adding some terms.

Choosing Keywords

For best results, it's important to choose your keywords wisely. Keep these tips in mind:

Capitalization

Searches are NOT case sensitive. All letters, regardless of how you type them, will be understood as lower case. For example, searches for "child development", "Child Development", and "cHiLd DeVeLoPmEnT" will all return the same results.

Browse By Category

The resource category directory (located here) is a good place to start if you're not exactly sure which search keywords to use. For example, searching for [ Infant ] within the Services > Food category of the directory returns only pages about the infant nutrition, while searching for [ Infant ] within the Services > Organizational/Community Services category returns only pages about infant services. Searching within a category of interest allows you to quickly narrow in on only the most relevant resources to you.
