Hold Your Baby During Feedings

Physical contact is an important part of feeding for your young baby. Holding your baby provides him with a feeling of safety. Hearing and feeling your heartbeat as you hold him will help your baby. It will help him to develop a pattern to his own swallowing and sucking. It can be hard to find a comfortable feeding position. Talk to your pediatric team if you would like help with this.
