Program
Judge Heard is committed to the youth of the city of Baltimore and hopes to assist in ensuring that opportunities always exist for young people to grow and develop into positive, well-educated, self-sufficient and dynamic young adults. It is her vision to foster positive networking and mentoring experiences by encouraging positive adult role models to re-invest in young people. She hopes by her community activities to encourage young people to set goals, fulfill dreams and chart the direction of their futures. She believes in second chances for juveniles who stumble but stresses that living life and growing up is often about accepting consequences. She is a product of Baltimore City public schools and supports their efforts to re-build, starting with the basics.

Program Description: Each semester, I offer internships for high school, college and law students. They work closely with the court to see what takes place in the Circuit Court and to learn about careers in the law.
