The Youth Leadership Development Program (YLDP) is a comprehensive guide to leadership development for young people. Topics covered include the areas of personal, social, educational, economic, political, technological, & organizational development. It also provides training in organizational leadership. This holistic course of study prepares young leaders to be proficient in all aspects of life. Services Provided

Youth from across the Baltimore area will be invited to participate in NLLC's summer youth leadership institute. This program is offered for two weeks, Monday through Friday from 10:00am - 3:00pm at Baltimore City Hall. The Youth Leadership Development Program (YLDP) provides participants with instruction in leadership skills and real life experience working in teams. Topics covered include areas of personal, social, educational, economic, political, and organizational development. Participants will learn how to take the necessary steps from having an idea, developing it, and implementing a plan of action. This program includes guest speakers, leadership training, and team activities. It concludes with team presentations, where each team puts together a proposal for a project idea and presents it to the entire class.
