Description

The Odyssey School exists to provide a high quality education in a lower and middle school setting for children with above average to exceptional higher level thinking skills who have been diagnosed with dyslexia or other language related learning differences and who demonstrate a weakness in reading, writing, spelling, and sometimes mathematics. Odyssey combines innovative multi-sensory teaching methods, small group instruction, and daily periods of tutoring where individual skill building takes place to establish a solid foundation for success. We recognize that these children are often gifted in other areas and do not fit easily into traditional educational categories. The school employs a "whole child" educational program aimed at teaching the children how to utilize their strengths to compensate for their weaknesses.
