Description

EMC's Pre-Dance Program is an age-appropriate introduction to the fundamentals of dance. Students learn basic stretching tecniques, develop locomotor skills and explore their own movement possibilites while engaging in dramatic play, improvisation and creative movement. Each class is limited to 12 students and is taught by 2 or 3 instructors. The emphasis is on the joy of dance and the development of self-esteem.

Services Provided

EMC brings together Baltimore's finest instructors and exposes its dancers to all dance forms, focusing heavily on technique. EMC offers classes Classical Ballet, Pointe, Modern, Lyrical, Jazz/Hip-Hop, Broadway Jazz and Tap. All dancers are required to attend weekly classes in each of the different styles of dance, with the exception of child level dancers, who are not required to attend modern or lyrical classes. This foundation nurtures confident, capable and intelligent dancers who are versatile and eclectic in their abilities. Exceptions are made for adult classes, which may be taken "a la carte."
