A note about how you have been feeling

A note about how you have been feeling

You reported you have not gotten help with how you have been feeling lately because you do not have child care. Not having child care can certainly make it feel impossible to find time to get help. There are some small things you can incorporate into your day-to-day life that could help improve how you feel. If you get to the point where outside help is needed, you should also know that there may be help out there that is flexible with your schedule and sometimes there are programs that provide child care. Your health and well-being should certainly be a priority as it is hard to be a good parent if you are overwhelmed with bad feelings. If you are looking for help that meet your family's needs, a good place to start may be asking your doctor or your child's doctor for referrals to mental health professionals, like a psychologist, social worker, or psychiatrist. Also check out the CHADIS Care Portal Resources tab for more ideas about where to get help and strategies you can use to improve how you feel. There are things you can do in your home, without going anywhere, that may help improve your mood.
