A note about your child not eating as he/she should

Infants at his age may suddenly refuse the food you offer unless you let him/her hold a spoon or biscuit and try to feed themself. This is because of emerging independence Even though it is messy, it is important to let your child try to feed himself. You can slip in some real bites in between. Letting a child decide how much to eat and allowing self feeding avoids struggles and may help prevent obesity later. Ask to see your baby's growth chart if you are worried.
