Chore Cards

Chore Cards

When your child breaks a rule, use chore cards as an immediate punishment. Create a stack of cards with small chores written on them, like unload the dishwasher, sweep the floor or vacuum the kitchen. Have your child pick a card to complete. Tell him he is grounded from all activities, including talking to family members, until the chore is complete.

When the chore is done, praise your child for completion and resume normal family activities.
