Description

RSVP assists individuals age 55 and older in finding enriching and meaningful volunteer jobs that serve critical needs in local communities. RSVP volunteers can serve in any nonprofit or health care organization. RSVP volunteers promote literacy by tutoring and mentoring children and adults, assisting in media centers, libraries, ESOL programs, and school events. RSVP volunteers care for the aging and disabled by providing daily phone calls, friendly visits and activities, transportation, and individual help with applying for assistance programs. Volunteers receive many benefits, including insurance coverage, transportation reimbursement, and recognition.
