Program
Free State Montessori School offers a four-week session during the month of July. This program is open to all Free State families and we actively encourage attendance by our community families. The 3-6 year olds enjoy the wonder of the Montessori classroom both in the morning and the afternoon. Each summer a particular theme is explored within the framework of the regular Montessori preprimary classroom. We encourage and often require new students to begin in the summer program in order to gain a sense of comfort with the classroom routine before they begin regular classes in the fall. This has been a wonderful opportunity for our new families to become acquainted with the school and the FSMS program.

Students will meet at our main campus each morning for a variety of activities such as special arts and crafts sessions or planning sessions before they take off for daily excursions to museums, parks, special centers, rivers and trails that relate to a different theme each week. Each afternoon children will share a picnic lunch at the park, the beach, or on the river so they can spend the afternoon wading and splashing around our own Maryland home. Festivals, stories and creating handmade crafts will round out our four weeks of elementary adventures this July. Don't miss the fun!
