101 Questions About Sexuality

Resource Type

Book - Child

Description

' "This book began with the collection of questions about sex and sexuality from middle school and high school students. Unlike other books in this series that dealt with such topics as food and skin, getting questions was difficult. Some questions were silly, embarrassed, or obscene. Some papers were blank. Some schools and teachers who had been eager to help in the past chose not to participate this time. Nonetheless, as time went on, more and more questions came in from serious and thoughtful young adults. They are answered here one by one, with a lot of facts and a few (I hope) well-supported opinions. My favorite question, however, was too good to relegate to a single chapter. It just had to provide the framework for the entire book. It came from a student in Chesapeake, Virginia. "Sex?" he asked. (I'm convinced the questioner was male.) "What's the big deal?"
