Ten month residential school with extended school year program for mild-severe mentally retarded, and multihandicapped (multi-handicapped includes autism, emotional disturbance, health impairments, communication impairments, physical handicaps, learning disabilities, and mild vision/hearing impairments), age 5-19 at intake.

Services Provided

prepares developmentally disabled to live in society, qualify for job placement, offers basic and functional academic training with emphasis on work skills, habits, training in self-help, personal care and grooming and household responsibilities. Additional services include: psychiatric, psychological services including counseling; recreational leisure education; speech and language services; social work, OT/PT; aquatics; adapted phys. ed.; transition services; vocational training; and work placement.

Eligibility Requirements

Mentally retarded and/or multi-handicapped, ages 5-21, child must have home/foster home for placement as required by school calendar.

Flat fee for Board of Education or other Agency Referrals. Some scholarship monies are available to parents who require financial assistance. Scholarship monies vary from year to year.
