Program
The National Leadership and Literacy Camp (NLLC) fosters intellectual and personal growth and development through activities that embrace the social, physical, intellectual, communicative and emotional (SPICE) domains of learning and becoming. The mission of this program is to prepare - through a challenging learning environment - each child for a meaningful and productive life in a competitive and ever-changing world. Daily program activities are carefully planned so as to develop a social-educational climate specific to the development of basic personal autonomy, appropriate future aspirations and positive participation in society.

To qualify for admission to the NLLC program, students must meet the qualifications below: Middle school age, 5th-8th grade during the 2005-2006 academic year OR High school age, 9th-12th grade during the 2005-2006 academic year. Deaf, hard of hearing, CODA (Children of Deaf Adults) or siblings of deaf children fluent in ASL; in good academic standing with leadership potential. Recommendation in writing by the following officials from his/her school: academic teacher curriculum director or principal administrator in charge
