Description

In the 1950's, Lion Jim Busey, had a vision of a Camp for challenged individuals, he traveled throughout the state of Arizona enlisting the support of all the Arizona Lions to build and maintain a camp for challenged individuals so that more children and adults who were disabled could enjoy a natural camping experience. Through his efforts, Lions Camp Tatiyee was established in 1958. In 1960, Lions Camp Tatiyee was born. We began with one cabin that could serve 12 children and have grown to 4 dormitories that can serve over 600 campers each season. We have been serving children and adults throughout the state of Arizona since 1958. Lions Camp Tatiyee was built with the sole purpose of serving special needs individuals. The camp has been a labor of love by the Arizona Lions Clubs. The Arizona Lions are part of Lions International, the largest service organization worldwide. Our motto is simply ?We Serve.?
