Description

Camp Tanager has two programs. DIABETES CAMP at Camp Tanager provides children and adolescents with Diabetes a safe and healthy environment to enjoy a variety of recreational activities designed for fun and fitness. At the same time children with Diabetes acquire a better understanding of their disorder. HEMOPHILIA CAMP is held each year in mid-June. This special camp is one of a kind in the mid-west. During the six-day camp children with Hemophilia and their siblings participate in individual and group activities designed for fun and fitness. They also gain a better understanding of Hemophilia and its effects on individuals and families.

Services Provided

Both the diabetes camp and the hemophilia camp have a 24-hour physician and nursing staff.

Eligibility Requirements

Camp is for children with hemophilia and for children with diabetes.
