Description

Provides wide range of services for those experiencing family conflict and family violence. Individual, couple or family counseling by appointment. Safe shelter for family members who must leave their homes in order to prevent violence from occurring. New Behaviors Group provides alternative ways of dealing with anger and conflict for those persons who have been violent towards family members. Offers victim advocate services, court room accompaniment, cellular phone distribution, and victim support groups for those members of the family who have been the recipients of violence.

Services Provided

SHELTER PROGRAM & SERVICES Temporary safe accommodations for thirty-one (31) days. Short term counseling, support and resources and referrals. Promotes the client's responsibility. CHILDREN'S PROGRAM Approximately two thirds of the Shelter residents are children. Seeks to provide services to meet the needs of these children. TRANSITIONAL SHELTER PROGRAM and SERVICES Provides the opportunity for the TS residents to receive job training and career counseling, return to school, find employment, save money and find safe, affordable housing. INDIVIDUAL AND FAMILY PSYCHOTHERAPY Professional staff of experienced male and female therapists provide services based upon and guided by Bowen Family Systems Theory.
