Description

Camp Sunshine supports children with life threatening illnesses and their families. The camp has the distinction of being the only program in the nation whose mission is to address the impact of a life threatening illness on every member of the immediate family?the ill child, the parents, and the siblings. Since its inception, Camp Sunshine has provided a haven for over 16,000 individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Eligibility Requirements

For children age infant to 18, nation and worldwide, who suffer with a life threatening illness and their immediate families. The 2005 Program includes children undergoing active treatment for cancer, or who have been on maintenance or out of treatment for up to two years. Other disease specific sessions include children with lupus, renal disease, Fanconi Anemia, Diamond Blackfan Anemia, brain tumors, and solid organ transplants
