Description

Camp Hendon is a week long summer camp program for children with diabetes currently being held at Camp Crooked Creek and operated by the American Diabetes Association. It was created in 1965 and is named for the late Dr. J. Robert Hendon who was the first endocrinologist in Kentucky.

The objective for ADA Camp Hendon is to give children, ages 8-17, with diabetes in Kentucky and Southern Indiana a chance to have a fun, safe, and medically supervised camping experience while realizing they are not alone in their fight for a cure.
