Program
BISM provides innovative training and employment opportunities to blind and visually impaired adults, youth, and senior citizens. The Rehabilitation Department provides excellence in blindness training in core areas of Braille, Cane Travel, Careers, Computer Technology, Independent Living, Woodshop, Adjustment to Blindness, Vocational Training, and Job Development. Intensive year-round programs for adults and senior citizens as well as work experiences, retreats, and summer camps for elementary, middle, high school, and transitional youth are offered. Residential facilities are available for specific adult youth programs.
