Opportunities for grantmakers in the following areas are also discussed: educating women about maternal depression, promoting screening and treatment, integrating mental health services into programs serving pregnant and parenting women, increasing the availability of peer support for mothers who are experiencing depression, and supporting research on maternal depression.
