Program
The Monkton Community Arts Center (MCAC) mission is to provide an environment for the development and representation of visual arts in Northern Baltimore County. Art instruction and summer camps, community events, and annual festivals will combine with high-quality fine art and arts and crafts galleries in Monkton Hall to enliven the arts in this rural community. MCAC art instruction includes summer camps, after-school programs, and evening and weekend programs for all ages. The purpose of the instructional programs is to further awareness of the value of art-making and to provide an environment for individual learning and improvement. Art instruction is founded in the basics of art history and color theory and builds upon the strengths and interests of the individual.
