Program
Music Together is a nationally recognized early childhood music program that has been serving families for over 15 years. Through ongoing research and development, the program continues to evolve and expand. Music Together touches thousands of families worldwide by bringing music-making into family life. Ann Quinn began conducting classes as a registered Music Together® teacher in June of 1999, through the Arts in the Neighborhood program at West Baltimore United Methodist Church. Classes offered: Mixed Age class, 0-4 years, with attending caregiver(s) Adults, regardless of musical ability, find it fun and easy to help create an environment that supports any child in achieving basic music competence. Children participate at their own level by singing, moving, chanting, listening, and exploring child-safe percussion instruments. Babies class, 0-9 months, with attending caregiver(s), Babies begin hearing music in utero and greatly benefit from early Music Together class experiences. The music activities and materials are especially designed for parents who want to learn as much as possible about music development in infants, and want to enhance their musical relationship during this special time in their child's life. *Playful ways to focus on the tonal and rhythmic elements of the music *Instrumental free play *Opportunities for improvisation by children and parents
