Description

This program serves children with serious medical problems and their families. It provides intensive services to address serious medical problems and physical, emotional or intellectual needs that require servies in excess of those expected in regular foster care. Children are placed in licensed therapeutic homes and in home case management, nursing, physical therapy, nutrition, speech and language and therapy services are provided. Foster parents recieve specialized training to enable them to handle this special medical needs of the children. Services are also provided to biological families to help prepare them to work with their children. Permanency goals are addressed.
