Description

"Committed to the idea that a school is for all students, regardless of individual ability, the people of Amherst, New Hampshire restructured their concept of education. Facing the challenge head on, they worked to create a successful, fully inclusive high school. This program shows the results of their efforts, and gives the viewer an insider's perspective on how to make inclusive education work in any community. Candid interviews with administrators, faculty, community members, and students address the challenges and benefits of having an inclusive school. Educators offer innovative ways to respond to the school's changing needs. And to illustrate how inclusion really works, the camera follows a student with disabilities during his senior year as he fully participates in his high school." -Video Description
