Video - Parent

Description

"This video focuses on alternatives to shaking and hitting infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Featuring black, white, and Hispanic families, five scenes are portrayed that represent the major causes of injuries to children by their parents. This interactive teaching tool is designed to help parents identify flaws in their parenting abilities and learn proven skills that work to promote the health and welfare of their child and the relationship between parent and child. After each challenging scene an inappropriate example of parenting is presented, the video is paused, and parents discuss what occurred and what they would do differently. When the video is resumed, proven techniques and strategies are presented that teach healthy ways to discipline, parent, and care for the child." -Child Development Media, Inc.
