Description

a low income, supportive housing development for young adults with chronic mental illness transitioning from foster care to independence. Now in its 6th year, Coolidge Court is serving as a national model, as residents have benefited tremendously, and have advocated for replicating the program. Over 40% of the residents are currently enrolled in college, and most are successfully employed. Fred Finch Youth Center is currently planning to build on its successes with this pioneer program by replicating the model in a new, larger low-income supportive housing development in Berkeley.
