Description

"In this videotape children first recite the names of the numerals in order (rote counting), then they attach numeral names to the number of things (rational counting). Sample activities include singing counting songs, listening to counting books being read, setting the table, keeping score, and playing board games. Children are also shown learning that each numerical symbol represents an amount, gradually connecting the recognition of numerals with the concept of number and quantity. Sample activities include manipulating numerals, placing things in order, playing Number Bingo, card games, matching numerals, and making sets." -Child Development Media, Inc.
