Description

A caring adult volunteer is matched to a child and serves as a companion, friend and role model. These "matches" are paired according to common interests, compatible personalities and who live within a convenient distance from one another. Volunteers commit to at least a one year relationship and select either a 4, 3 or 2 times a month frequency for visits. The important thing is that a child can come to know what to expect. During their visits they do a variety of activities based on their interests and with guidance from BBBS professional staff and input from parents. They can do activities either at the child's home or in the community with the permission of the parent/guardian.
