Description

"Play is one of the primary communication modes children use to reveal their thoughts, interests, and difficulties. This video outlines how parents can play with their children so that the child's need to feel cherished and understood is met. How to help children bring up issues in play and how to "playlisten" with more than one child are covered. Narrated by Patty Wipfler, Director of the Parents Leadership Institute, this video presents play sessions between five different parents and their children. Parents and children from varied backgrounds are included. The video includes the Listening to Children series, a set of 7 booklets: Special Time, Playlistening, Crying, Tantrums and Indignation, Healing Children's Fears, Reaching for Your Angry Child, Setting Limits with Children. Video and booklet by Patty Wipfler." -Child Development Media, Inc.
