Video - Parent
"This videotape identifies the normal developmental stages children birth-to-five years go through in learning how to use books. Examples are given of parents with children which demonstrate the way to read books to young children beyond just reading the words on the page. The stages shown range from infants who chew books all the way up to children aged five whose early book skills give them an advantage as they prepare to enter school. The video is divided into segments according to age (Birth - 1 year, 1-2 years, etc.) with a narrator and graphics showing what to expect at each stage and what kind of books to use." -Child Development Media, Inc.
