LAMP is a caring community of faith, ministering to the homeless and indigent. LAMP provides assistance to more than 10,000 people each year - that's help for more than 10% of county residents, through four departments. These are: Helpers Unlimited (emergency assistance to those in need with food, clothing, rental, utilities & transportation assistance); Health Care (medical prescriptions, dental and eye care); Emergency Housing (shorter-stay -30 days - Shelter for men women & children); and Transitional Housing (a longer stay program of up to 24 months of residence and 6 months of after-care services). All activities and programs of LAMP's four departments give the homeless and indigent "a hand up" in their time of need. Serves Lowndes County.
