Video
"The purpose of this video is to present to early childhood educators general information regarding children who have been prenatally chemically exposed. It is intended to help teachers of young children identify this group of children and to understand how it feels to be a teacher working with these children. When staff are aware of their own feelings related to working with drug-exposed children in the classroom, they are then able to cope more effectively. Throughout the tape interviews with a foster parent and teachers provide insight into the realities of working with drug-exposed children. The tape defines and discusses the typical traits of these children, the role of teachers/staff, and the role of caregivers." -Child Development Media, Inc.
