As the new millennium approaches, a bug every bit as dangerous as the year 2000 bug is plaguing the citizens of Silicon Valley: the stress bug. Depression, anxiety, stress-related physical symptoms (headache, backache or fatigue), and problems with alcohol are some of the signs. At Good Samaritan Hospital Behavioral Health Services we have the comprehensive programs and experienced staff to help you not only recover from acute emotional distress, but also to help you learn new ways of managing stress and to prevent recurrences. Our mission: "Mind Care for the New Millennium." Our full continuum of services include: intake and referral services; inpatient psychiatric unit; detoxification program; partial hospitalization program; intensive psychiatric outpatient program; chemical dependency partial hospital program; morning and evening intensive chemical dependency outpatient program; and recovery path (patient self-help paradigm).
