Video - Parent/Child
"In this unusual and award-winning video children both with and without disabilities were given a camera and asked to produce a video about disabilities. Although professionally produced and edited, the video was conceived of and shot by children, and is a product that both children and adults can relate to. Elementary and middle-school children were instructed on how to use a video camera and how to conduct an interview. The result is an uplifting video that helps adults and children feel more comfortable around people with disabilities and shows how people with disabilities get around, work and communicate. Their video also teaches that people are more alike than different and it encourages children with disabilities to strive towards their goals. Useful for promoting discussion in groups and classrooms about disabilities." -Child Development Media, Inc.
