Video - Parent

Description

"The five modules included on this tape provide examples of parents applying different aspects of the Hanen approach to interactions with their children who have language delays. Many of the children shown on the tape have other disabling conditions as well as delayed language. It focuses on initial language acquisition in the child with little or no verbal language. The tape can be used in conjunction with the guidebook It Takes Two to Talk. In the five modules parents demonstrate working with children at various levels of communication. The modules include 1) Observe Your Child's Attempt to Communicate; 2) Follow Your Child's Lead; 3) Respond So Your Child Will Learn; 4) Keep the Conversation Going, Take Turns; and 5) Prompt for Better Turns." -Child Development Media, Inc.
