"This videotape demonstrates how children learn to recognize and name shapes. The tape shows children engaged in such activities as playing with toys of various shapes, eating varied-shaped crackers, using shapes in creative activities, and block play. The tape also depicts children learning that the whole consists of parts. Later they learn that parts are fractions of the whole. Other activities shown include experiencing things that have parts (cars, puzzles, their own bodies) separating sets (dishes, toys) and dividing wholes (cookies)." -Child Development Media, Inc.
