Created especially for educators, this package provides an overview of the Developing Minds series and emphasizes ways in which teachers can help children with learning difficulties. The Teacherís Pack includes two videos and guides. The Introduction for Teachers video and guide introduces educators to the philosophy and conceptual framework of Dr. Mel Levine and his colleagues at the All Kinds of Minds Institute. Teachers will gain insight into key neurodevelopmental areas that underlie a child's learning and development and impact his or her ability to succeed in school. The General Strategies for Teachers video and guide features interviews with children and early adolescents struggling with learning problems. Teachers will learn about a systematic process for understanding and managing a childís learning strengths and weaknesses, and will watch as parents, educators, and children collaborate to gather information and develop an educational plan that addresses his or her learning differences.
