Wait until 12 months before trying these foods.

  • Egg whites
  • Fish
  • Chocolate
  • Citrus fruits and juices
  • Cow's milk (low-fat or skim milk can be tried at 2 years)
  • Strawberries

Your baby may have allergies if you notice these things.

  • Hives
  • Eczema
  • Skin rash
  • Diarrhea
  • Gassiness

Stop feeding your baby the new food. Try it again in 2 to 3 weeks. If symptoms return, call your doctor or nurse practitioner to get help.
