What to Expect from Babies 3-6 Months of Age

Babies' food requirements and eating patterns change as they grow. Here is a basic outline of what to expect when babies are 3-6 months of age. Babies may have a routine. This means they may eat on more of a schedule. If your baby breastfeeds, he may still require nighttime feedings. Your baby may sleep longer at night if you feed her less often during the day (about once every 4 hours). Try waiting about 10 minutes after she wakes up from her longest stretch of sleep at night before feeding her. Around this age, bottle-fed infants should begin sleeping through the night.
