Funerals

Whether or not to let your child attend the funeral is a big decision. Most older children find funeral attendance helps them in their grieving. Your younger child is less mature and understands death in a different way. If you choose to bring a young child, also bring an adult not affected by the loss (such as a babysitter). This adult can play with the child, and take him/her to another location as needed.
