Book - Parent/Child
"Brother and sister, Stephen and Charlotte, book passage on a cruise to Athens, the Islands, and parts of Egypt and Turkey. Stephen insists they wear wedding bands to avoid gossip about traveling together and sleeping in the same room. Charlotte suspects her brother is gay, but hasn't confronted him with it. Both are vegetarians, and at the table on the ship they are brought together with two other vegetarians: Byron, a handsome pseudo-intellectual who admires everything American (especially Stephen and Charlotte), and his thug-ugly sidekick Nikos, who subsidizes Byron but resents his companion's interest in the Americans. In the days that follow, the four are brought together in a series of events that reveal their private lives. The result is betrayal, misfortune, tragedy, and an awakening." -From the Publisher
