I am so glad to hear you report that you had other people who took an interest in you and assured that they would take over if your parents couldn’t. Knowing that there are other people who care besides parents makes a child feel safe. Think about ways you can be sure that there are other people your child trusts and loves growing up. Consider choosing a special adult to be an "auntie" or "uncle" to your child, even if they are not related by blood.
