Use of Electronics at School

Use of Electronics at School

Schools now frequently give assignments on the internet both in school and as homework. Unfortunately, this makes supervising internet use more difficult. Parents should advocate for close observation by teachers of web-based work at school. Parents likewise need to have children in a "public area" of the house to be sure work is being accomplished. Setting a total time limit for internet use that includes both any schoolwork, play and communicating with friends may also make games during homework less likely. If cell phone use for accessing the web is the source of distraction at school or home purchasing a cheaper "dumb" phone for emergency contact can solve this problem.
