Description

Cruising camps allow each camper to experience first hand the joys and challenges of living and sailing on board a fully equipped cruising sailboat. Campers live aboard for 5 days and 4 nights while sailing from port to port on the Chesapeake Bay. The cruises visit classic cruising locations including Swan Creek on Rock Hall, Annapolis, St. Michaels and the Magothy River. The boats are anchored out in Swan Creek and the Magothy River. In Annapolis and St. Michael's campers are able to go ashore.

Services Provided

There is plenty to learn and do aboard a sailing boat. The campers will learn how to operate a sailing boat by rotating through boat positions and also will get the opportunity to navigate from port to port. Rowing the dinghy, going ashore to explore the new town, making new friends and listening to music. On some summer nights the stars are on display to be admired.

Eligibility Requirements

No prior sailing experience is needed to fully participate and enjoy the cruising camps.

Costs

$890 per week. Cost includes all food eaten on board, one dinner ashore and a camp T-shirt. A $150 non-refundable deposit is due at registration. See discounts above. We apologize but Getaway Sailing can not guarantee boats or Captains for camp sessions.
