The program offers a curriculum which progresses sequentially in skill difficulty and formality as the student moves through the program. Equal emphasis on the ballet, modern, jazz, and tap disciplines marks the uniqueness of the program, and this balance seldom achieved in the private sector, is consistent with the philosophy of the baccalaureate program in dance at Towson University. Another distinctive feature is the balance achieved by a curriculum based on technical as well as performance instruction.
