Children's Tumor Foundation Summer Camp

Resource Type

Program

Description

The NF Camp is sponsored by the Children's Tumor Foundation, a non-profit foundation which serves both adults and children with NF1, NF2, and Schwannomatosis. There are two sessions for the NF Camp. These sessions are usually held during the last two weeks of July. Applicants must attend the first session for two years to become eligible for the second session. Campers spend one week in Salt Lake City, UT where they will be hosted by Camp Kostopulos (Camp K). They will have the opportunity to take part in activities both on and off of Camp K's site. A unique feature of the camp is the visit to the University of Utah's Eccles Genetic Science Learning Center where they will have the opportunity to participate in a question and answer session with an NF researcher.
