Grassroots is a private non-profit, human service agency that has been serving Howard County and Central Maryland for over 30 years. Our mission is to create the opportunity for people in crisis and in need to make positive empowering changes in their lives by being a 24 hour resource, responding helpfully and professionally, while recognizing each person's individuality and dignity.

24 hours professional counseling staff are available to listen, provide support and make referrals on a wide range of issues. Crisis intervention counseling is available by phone or in person for anyone in need of immediate assistance with a personal, situational, or mental health crisis. Services are free of charge and confidential.
