Description

The Pediatric Psychology Clinic and Consultation Service (PPCS) applies behavioral science knowledge and methods to the assessment and treatment of learning, behavior and psychosocial problems associated with diagnosis, treatment and adaptation to pediatric medical problems. Applying this knowledge and methodology mitigates difficult-to-manage behavioral, psychological, social and environmental influences that typically affect the ability of children and adolescents with developmental disabilities and those without developmental disabilities to cooperate with diagnosis and treatment strategies. As a result, these individuals are better able to benefit from medical advances such as powerful diagnostic and treatment tools.
